Course content

In this course, you’ll gain the confidence to play your instrument or sing, both individually and as a part of a group. You’ll learn the necessary skills to collaborate, rehearse and perform with other musicians. You will listen to and analyse music to develop your understanding of structure and composition to help you create original music. A combination of classroom learning, playing, review and discussion – supported by practising at home – form the backbone of the course, which ends with a performance of your work to an invited audience at the end of the year.

I can now sing in front of an audience, I would never be able to do that before.
— Richard, Music

What to bring

You will need to bring a basic level of singing or playing ability on your musical instrument of choice. We’ll provide everything else, including keyboards, guitars and percussion.
