Course content

On this course, you’ll get to grips with your digital camera, learning how to use the settings, so you know how to capture the photo you want, whatever the style or location. Each week, you’ll explore the work of different photographers, past and contemporary, assessing how their work has influenced the development of the art form and how it might impact your approach to your own photography. You will work in a group and independently, both in the classroom and on locations in Cambridge, such as the Botanic Gardens and local Museums. You will develop your own personal projects as the course progresses and show your work as part of a group exhibition.

I’m now going out and about to take photos - being outdoors in the fresh air rather than isolated at home helps me see the world in a completely different way.
— Nicola, Photography

What to bring
